Just another thing to add,

How strong does the air blow in the rear of your guys cars? Mines usually close to nothing, I don't see anything in the climate menu about the rear, should i use different vent settings?

jack

Are you referring to the rear-facing ducts under the front seats or the rear vent in the console?

rear vent in the console

Heat is supposed to come from the floor vents but you can dial in a little more on the center console if you wish. Are you sure it's turned on?

Yes, the turn wheel is set to "open". By dial in a little more, do you mean in idrive, pump up all the lines in climate? Why are the vents even there if most of the heat is suppose to come from the floor anyways and there are no settings for it? Thanks anyways.

I don't know any exact times or temperatures but in my experiences, I feel the car heats up very quickly -- way faster than 8, 10, or 15 minutes...

Maybe it's a V8 thing?

Dude that V8 heats up in like 3 seconds... literally! Its soooo fast compared to the MINI... MINI takes about 2 mins after drive off. Still quite fast I think... Supercharger does wonders... :D

You should be able to close the rear vents and/or adjust them warm/cold.

I have the rear vents closed (so the warm air do not dissapear to a empty rear seat)
but also do check your iDrive for the Centre Vent opitions (cold, neutral, warm).

I'm pretty happy with my settings and it has been like -10 C for a couple of weeks now!

Tried it this morning after resetting iDrive settings and still very slow in heating up. One of lifes mysteries I will have to learn to live with!!

My car seems to heat up quickly - about 6 minutes when VERY cold - like well below freezing - to get full heat

I also drive right away to get the engine to work more
If you let it idle it will take longer to heat up
