My take on what you mean is that there are two spaces at the back but you cant get to either space because his car is blocking the passageway to the spaces, so he isnt even in a space but he is blocking both of them.

Best thing to do is be nice and ask him to use one of the spaces so you can get your car in the other, forget the crap about throwing a beatin or sh!t on the hood thats macho BS from movie land. Remember that he is a neighbour and you will probably have to see him everyday, most people are reasonable if you approach it the right way. If he gets awkward and continues to deny you access to one of the spaces then seek legal advice if it bothers you that much, personally i couldn't be bothered with the hassle. Catch me on a bad day though thats a different story, i either say nothing or i scare the crap out of them (a side effect of being raised in a rough town).

You are the best person to judge how to approach him as you know him better than we do.

Good luck.

Seriously? You need to ask an Internet forum for help to resolve a parking issue?

+1 lol that reminds me of another forum member's "shake or smoothie incident" with road rage (cant remember which member exactly) but they also managed to snap a pic of the guy coming at them when they pulled over! hilarious
