did the active steering come with the sport package on the 530i or just the 545i in 05?

Duh, I see you have the 6-speed manual (right?) - if so that means you have the sport package because I believe you could only get the manual with sport in 2004. Of course as you have noticed, if you do have AS, you also have the sport package.

EDIT: While I thought that was the case, it seems that you COULD get a 545 with 6-speed manual and no sport in 2004. But the AS was only available with Sport.

EDIT EDIT - I give up - I think the 6-speed manual WAS ONLY AVAILABLE WITH SPORT PACKAGE.

Those look like sport seats (and I just checked, I think that even the non-sport seats have lumbar support). It is the round dial on the side of your seat. See page 38 of the manual.

Lumbar support was a separate option for 2004 MY. So it is possible that your car does not have it and yes the sports seats on pre-2007 E60 suck, but I still would not call 545 a POS. Go rent a Ford Focus to learn what a real POS is.

I have an 05 545i

The Premium Package was a seperate option
The Lumbar Support/Comfort Seats was also a seperate option
Active Steering was also a seperate option

I do not know about the Sport Pkg and what was included with this specifically... I don't have the sports package.

But I do got Comfort Seats................
