Is my car a door ding magnet?

Mall parking lots are a mess. Today's high winds didn't help. But why do SUV drivers insist on squeezing into parking places intended for "normal" sized vehicles and then using my car for a door-stop!
A big-ass GMC TRUCK wacked my driver-side door just below the door handle. The GMC bodyside molding (the size of a 2x4) left a nice gouge in the door. The paint looks scraped so paintless dent repair may not be an option. Took photos ... no sign of the driver but I have reported the tag number and my insurance company will trace the tag and file a complaint on my behalf. Have a good photo of the paint transfer from my car to the white SUV.
I'm feeling ready to start a revolution ...

That sucks... I hate people who are not considerate of others property... next time put a few nails under their tireS and so when they leave they'll be sorry. Why should I care about them if they dont care about my stuff...

That is one of the reasons I moved from NJ and was happy to leave it behind. I would park far out of my way and especially away from SUVs. Since moving to NC never have had a problem.

Its a nightmare. I've gotten so much of those, Ive began parking in the farthest spots in the back of parking lots with no one around me.......My wife keeps asking me if I dont know how to park because I keep on taking up two parking spots
