I changed the plate lights the night before... after turning the engine on this morning, it says "license plate malfunction" but drove it anyway and after running like 5 miles, the car started shaking and the engine eventually died, fortunately i was able to park the car on a safe side of the freeway. I tried starting it again for about 5 times but it didn't work. The monitor now says "battery low" so I stopped trying, do you guys think I messed up with the plate lights?

Did you use OEM W lamps? Did the installation go smooth?
If the lamps don't have the right resistance some problems may occur,
but that sounds more like a shortcut in the electrical system.

I have the LED's with the resistors and have never experienced anything like that. Seems really odd. Let's just see what the dealer says first.

thanks bro, but why does it says "plate lights malfunction"
1) One of the lights is not installed properly
2) You need the resistors. HOWEVER, with those LED's, you're not supposed to need them. So that makes me think it's #1.
