My Ride: 530d M Sport Lci
Has anyone downloaded it and got it to work??
The app sounds great, or atleast the theory behind it, but apparently you need a build date of sept 2008. so im trying to figure out what my car needs to enable this function.
Anyone out there know anything about this??

yes, if you have remote services enable in your connected drive account it will work, It`s only for cars that have this function, march 2007 and above if I am not mistaken, It wont work on mine unfortunately.

I think it's '08 as my build date is august '07 and the is no remote option in the connected drive.
I actually think this is a great feature as I always use google to send addresses to the car, as let's face it the satnav isn't that great, so for me doing it on the phone is a must.

I just tried the app on my wife's iphone last night and it works a treat. It opens and locks the doors fine, but note that when locking the door it does not arm the alarm. Now here is hoping that they release an Android version !
