Hey everyone-

Quick question. I've had the 525 for about 5 months now. Not a single issue, nothing even close, man I LOVE this car.

When I got out of my car this morning, I noticed some steam/smoke (couldn't really tell what it was) coming out of the kidney grill. I opened the hood and tried to source it, but I couldn't. I smelled it, didn't smell like burning...

Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Should I be concerned?

Thanks

If you couldn't find the source or smell anything, it's probably nothing. What was the ambient temperature?

Hey man, the only time I've seen that out of my 525 is when I wash it in the cold, so im guessing some kind of condensation...Same here though, no smell, and never had an issue...As long as it doesnt do it while I'm driving, I'm cool with it, hope it helps...

Did you get your car detailed lately? if you did it's probably the oil they use to make the enging surface look shiny. Happened to me before.

It was maybe 45 degrees out, definitely not too cold...I need to take the car in when I have a chance and i'll ask them about it...my power outlet in the ashtray doesn't work, and there is an annoying squeak in my drivers seat....I just avoid taking it in because they don't give me a loaner :( I even offered once to pay them for it as long as i could take a loaner and they said no....

I often see steam coming out of the front grills - mentioned to SA - no problem found.

I still doubt it's anything to be concerned about based on your initial assessment (no source, no smell). The outlet issue probably is just a fuse. I've had mine replaced. Dealerships vary regarding loaner policies. You might want to call another. 2 cents. GL
