You know your car better than anyone else. I just do not see where you would have issues down the road after it gets fixed. Seems to me everything is cosmetic. No suspension or drive train damage. Unless you are getting water on the systems it will be as it is now with fresh paint and new lights. I do not know about your insurance company but mine has a lifetime guarantee. If my car goes in with no issues it comes out with no issues. Both times my car went into the shop it came out with errors but tey were fixed without and issues. Ultimately its up to you.

Update - estimate jumped to $19k after a BMW Body shop took a look and they don't recommend fixing it. I worked out a settlement with the insurance co and it'll officially no longer be mine next week.
