"The 19 year old kid and his friend, driving Mom and Dads car." This seems to be a common theme with problems lately.

Looking at the photos, it's lucky the street was not slippery!
Definitely! Had the streets been slippery it would have been a complete mess!

glad you are ok - that's all that matters in the end.

Did you at least get the other guy's insurance info and is he covering the bra repair?
Thanks Jonathan. We exchanged all necessary info. I got a call from the adjuster placing blame 100% on the Audi driver. Insurance adjuster basically said any amount under $1500 and they would just cut me the check.

haha, i would really see if there are any scratches below the clear bra. if there isn't wow, the clear bra did its job!
I'm about 90% sure it's just the bra. I have scheduled an appointment with my guy to remove and reinstall the clear bra so we will see soon enough! Thanks!

It sounds like you lucked out but I would check for spiderweb cracks in the paint under the clear bra. Also, its possible the Audi hit just hard enough to cave in the plastic bumper a bit. Make sure that nothing behind it got compressed. Press in that side compared to the other side. I had a 540i that got tapped in a parking lot. I didn't notice any damage until the next wash job. A whole section of the bumper could be pressed in 1/2 inch because the under support got pushed in. Just looking at it, the bumper showed no damage.
Thanks Richard, I appreciate the advice. Thankfully everything looks good other than the bra. The tough part is to see if there is any paint damage under the bra. I have an appointment to pull the bra and check the paint. If there is no damage the new bra will go back on. If there is damage it's going to the body shop straight away.

I think that looks like its just the bra... so hopefully it is... if so... the bra just paied for itself... cuz even if you had to pay for it... replacing the bra is much cheaper than repainting...

Good luck... keep us updated on the bra replacement... hopefully its just that.

another +1 for clear bras

IS That TT A 1.8 model or a 3.2 model, as i find it hard how such a car could ravage a 550i, i know audis are 4wd but didnt think it would pull on the flagship E60?

News to me that is.

The 19 year old kid and his friend who hit me were apparently very hungry and were trying to get into Arbys' parking lot.
Glad it wasn't worse -- you know how people get when they're thinking Arby's, right?

D,

Kudos on the clean rig. I came out of an S6 (jet black) and this was the toughest time of the year to deal with "the curse of the black car," especially with the recent warm spell here in Minneapolis.

Who do you use for your body work in town?

The bra was a great investment with all the road debris and Audi's bouncing off the front of the car!!
