Do you guys in Canada have to keep insurance on the vehicle while its off the road during the winter months?

Cars off the road for fews month, usually good idea to cancel regular insurance, and get "storage insurance"

I keep my car insured all the time, rain, snow or sun Other cars insured, one car, sits in the warm garage 364 days of the year rofl

Yeah that's exactly what I did. My insurance only covers fire and theft for these next few months.

Yes I do ... else my insurance company would nail me on rates when I re-insure it in the spring

Regarding wood under my tires, my dealer told me to increase the psi in my tires to 50lbs (which I do) along with my trickle charger and a full tank of gas, I've had no problems with it so far

I also just put mine away until April also. I can't wait for April to come! I will be attending my first track day after she comes out and get an oil change and what not.
Don't forget tranny and diff fluid change, either. It's always a good idea to replace them before and after storing. This is what I used to do with the 911 because it was the wisdom of the day. It might still be the correct thing to do. I'd google it, if I were you. I undersatnd it's an expensive step, but expected when one forgoes the Corollas and Sentras of the world.

I will be thinking of you guys with the high powered engines tucked away for the winter while I'm out there chasing alien spaceships in the snow with my 525xi.

For long term storage, or even few months, people always say put wood underneath the tires? Or is that bs?
I think wood is best used in bed.

Why a full tank of gas? I put mine away with 1/4 tank of gas. I dont have a trickle charger but i start it up once a week and let i run for 10 min or so.
Silver, a full tank of gas is recommended to prevent oxidation and/or rust in the gas tank.
