I've been researching and studying researching since last August and I can't get around the fact that I think BMW is going to give me a better quality car than anyone else, plus the included maintenance can't be beat.
That said, what kind of deal did you all get on your 535xi's? How much off of sticker did they give you, or when you order in advance is it basically "you pay MSRP" type of deal?
Has any car website reviewed the 535xi and posted specs?
Thanks. Congrats on the cars, guys.

Thanks Lads. May 20th is the date of production. Tomorrow I go to BMW Toronto for a test drive of the 535xi and a check of the options. Good to see I have the chance to add if something catches my eye. I do drive 80k on hiway so may try the active cruise control. Will let you know how the drive goes.

Thanks to all of you who populate this forum, your lively discussions helped me take the leap and purchase a 2008 535xi, replacing my '03 Passat W8 (which I loved). Now now its time to enjoy the fun ride!
BMW Toronto ... June delivery (the snow should have stopped). I am told the options change by Country, so here is the beast with its Canadian options. One question: I got the production number yesterday, how do I now track it's every move!!

Test-drove the 535xi today and in a word its ?fantastic?. Good job, as my machine goes into production on the 20th March. I decide to order the adaptive cruise control as I drive 80km+ per day on the hi-way, so no more on off the breaks when on cruise control due to twerps not keeping their speed. I also opted for the rear electric shade and manual rear sides so I can keep the tint the same on all windows.
The car was amazingly smooth and a huge improvement in ride quality over the 525 I had driven prior to ordering. I must say this forum was very helpful in my decision and I am very thankful for all your diligence in the love of these cars.

1) your vehicle slows down to the speed of another vehicle cuts in front of your vehicle
2) The minimum distance between the two vehicles (yours and front) displayed by one line on display is factory set/default.
3) I have to use accelerator from time to time in above conditions and it goes back to set cruise speed
4) I wish BMW have an option to use regular cruise if we want to. If anyone has such info.(thru I-Drive) please help me.
5) Take a test drive on freeway with ACC and make decision-IMHO.
