As above bit the bullet and got a set of mtec V3 bulbs for my lci headlights. Quite impressed with them as i think these are the brightest option without going down the orion mod route . These are not quite a direct fit as you need to modify the original bulb holder. Also took my eyebrows out and done them black
Modified bulb holder , basically cutting top off from where the fin type thing on the holder stop , then the top part will slide over the mtec bulb and wedges onto position . forgot to take a pic of this stage though http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/4869/mtecs005.jpg Bulb fitted http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/6896/mtecs007.jpg Results http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/3572/mtecs009.jpg http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/5596/mtecs011.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/9077/mtecs013.jpg http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/4125/mtecs015.jpg http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/451/mtecs021.jpg http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/9196/mtecs023.jpg http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/458/mtec2002.jpg http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/1511/mtec3004.jpg |
Looks good! The Mtec v3 seems to color match well with your eyebrows. Also, it doesn't look like the eyebrows are lit by 6 LEDs on the side anymore?

Well spotted mate , when i first installed the white leds on the lights , didnt wait long enough and the sealant i used didnt set properly and let water in , tried to dry out but over did it with the heatgun and melted the eyebrow so fitted the pre-lci eyebrows which only have the 5 led ;)

Wow, the black eyebrows look great! I may have to do this mod. Thanks for the idea.

Ah, that's unfortunate to hear. If you are willing to open it up once more, perhaps I can help.
