Now my question

I went to my dealer, Calgary BMW (btw its 500 miles from were i live) and had some warrenty work done to the sun roof
and asked to have the mp3 function turned on. They told me it would not work on my car. Is that true? is their a certain date or cut off? I'm disapointed as my 05 325i had mp3 and my 06 530 can't. When I researched it on the site here it seemed to me that BMW turns it on at a customers complaint. any body else run into this

have u got navigation? or at least the professional radio?, i have business nav and pro radio and i have the mp3 function, my cars a 2003

no nav but I do have idrive and Logic 7 sound system

 

idrive is a standard fit on all 5 e60`s, i think you need to have at least nav and or pro radio for it to work, year will not matter

 

Is there a quick way to tell if I have the pro Radio?
