MP3 Skipping tracks... Did anyone encounter ?

i was told by my dealer a few weeks ago (wen i had the cip upgrade/retro mp3) that the drives cant read mp3 tracks coded any higher than 192kbps. check which tracks are skippin and indeed if they are the higher rate tracks...

Hi guys, had the same problem with my 2007 530d with prof sat nav. Figured out that the bitrate makes no difference whatsoever. However.....sampling rate HAS TO BE 44.1 KHZ. Anything more and the i-drive will not play it. Think this is only on the CCC systems. CIC seem to play everything!Hopefully that helps
