MP3 playback on software v17.0

Congrats on the new car. The 2006's appear to have had MP3 capability from the outset without requiring an update.

What is different to previous MY's, did they decided to equip the E60s with a different radio?

I have E60, business nav ( business radio ) & it works now, since upgrade to 17 last week.

I did some checking here in Germany and the way it looks mp3 will not be available until the end of the 4th Qtr 2005(nav pro and nav bus and radio pro). My car is due in July of this year, so I will let you know if it plays mp3. If not, then it looks like end of the year is correct? My car will be German specs.

Eh??? can you be a little more clear??? you have Business Radio and you can play MP3s after CIP 17?

[/quote]My car was built Dec 2003, now cip 17 including all modules to cure I drive fault, took 2 days. I have Business Nav & Business radio in the UK. Not sure if it is the same spec. in USA. MP3s play now, including text etc, same as earlier photo.
