Hello to you all.

I have been lurking on this forum for quite a while - so first up, many thanks for the great info.

I thought that my early 545i with business Nav wouldn't play back MP3's via the sat nav dvd slot - but after reading the various posts on this forum, I thought I would give it a try.

Well, it works, and the interface on the Idrive is quite usable.

Tried a DVD+RW and CDR and they both playback fine.

So thanks again for the tip, you've saved me some cash!

How many MP3 albuns have you putted in your DVD?

In mine E61 I only can see the first 20 (25 maximum),

The others aren't shown in the display.

Does that happens only to me?

Thank you?

I went in Wednesday, received the car today and NO updates for MP3's. Therefore, you need to get a NEW M-ASK/CD Player that plays MP3's.

Smile

Leave it alone,. Get an iPOD and the AUX input OR iPOD adapter. More songs anyway. Make some CD's of your fav music, You can only listen to sooo much music in a day. CD's are a cheap medium. That's how I'm dealing with MY disappointment over the situation.....MIND GAMES!!!!!

When I have time I will take my car to BMW to see what is its version and upgrade.

Is it free? My car is from Set/05.

Thank you madoon and all the others.
