MP3 not possible with CD changer in glove box

Got an upgrade to Cp20 yesterday. It crashed the computer. The dealer found(afterwards) that MP3 retrofit doesn't work with E60's which have CD in glovebox. Now I have to have a new compueter for the i drive. Courtesy of BMW thank god.

It worked fine on other cars I know with CD Changer in govebox.
But even some E90 have had to have their CCC replaced for it to work properly ( with CD Chamger or without )

No, mountainboy's dealer said that MP3 does not work if you have the CD changer fitted in the glovebox.I replied that i have the changer in the glovebox and MP3 works fine !

The attached chart says a CD changer that plays MP3s won't be available for the E60 until 03/07, but I don't interpret that to mean you can't have the in dash CD player MP3 capable if you have a CD changer. Is this the chart you're referring to?
