Hi

I dont understant why my BMW serie 5 530dA(E60) - year 2004- 125 000 Km have. When i start a trip in the 10 first minutes the car dont have the same power than 20 minutes later. In the first minutes the power is not good, and I listen a sound like air. 20 minutes later the car have a good power. When i put the engine in N (neutral position) , and i i accelerate between 3000 and 3500 rpm i listem a sond like a whistle, before 3000rpm and after 3500 the sound is normal. Have you the same probleme. Is this a real problem.

Thanks for the explications

Bye

On thing to note is during the first 10 minutes your engine is not fully warmed up yet, oil is thicker so hence the "doesnt have the same power"

I had whistle and blowing sounds from my engine. This was caused by a poorly assembled turbo.
It can also be caused by problems with the turbo itself.
