Default Most Loop trouble shooting- No BT/AUX with SOS

Im just getting around to trouble shooting a fix for my 09 e60 with no nav or xm radio. I have no BT and my aux doesn't work at all. I also have a SOS that comes on when i turn on the car. Now my understanding is that the TCU controls the BT and SOS malfunction light, but I hooked up the loop on the tcu and it didnt fix the SOS that im still getting? It had a red light on so that would mean the previous components are all working properly right?

I just went through the same thing. Get a TCU from the junkyard and code it and that will fix everything but the SOS. After coding it to your car you will then have to code out the SOS at least that's what I did because I don't use it

So I just checked the mulf 2 and it’s soaked in water. Pulled up the loop and BT is working again. So it looks like I just need a new mulf2 correct? And that should restore my aux and usb?

Sorry to hear it. I think it must have happened to my car under a previous owner as my MULF2 has junkyard writing on it saying it's from an E90.

You Amy or may not have to code it. Just make sure you find we're the water is coming in at and seal it

Default 2007 bmw 525i navigation upgrade

Hey guys didnt think these threads were still alive, i have a question. Im trying to upgrade my system from the small screen display and cd player to the bit newer model which is the large screen display and cd/dvd player. I have the large screen display along with the cd/dvd player unit i got from a junk car. Now my problem is when i took it off the junk car i cut the cables in the back of the unit and took it with the cables still connected to the back of the unit. Now when i went to install it on my bmw the harnesses were not the same and im looking for a plug and play type of adapter, or do u guys think i should go back to another junk car and take the whole harness with the cables? Also if i take apart the dashboard and cd/dvd player from another junk car to get the cables would it be somewhere in the dashboard to take the whole entire cable?? Anyone can help me give me a call 305-450-7966

These are the harness and cut cable hits i have, if i go back to the car is the whole cable takeable?

This is what i want to install

Not sure what this is but i took it aswell it was located in the glovebox
