Hey,

I just got my new car the Tuesday (2005 545i SMG - SPORT - NAV - HUD - LOGIC7 - COLD WEATHER - RED REFLECTORS...wtvr thats not the point).. I realized that there was moisture in the headlamps. Is this normal. Should i have the headlamps replaced by BMW? YOu think they can get me the Euro lights????

The headlamp itself is not waterproof (According to BMW) only the bulb and its mechanism (If you have adaptive xenon). In order to get rid of condensation just turn the lamp on, it will disappear very rapidly. You will get that in foggy days and when you go to the car wash, etc...
I experienced the same thing when I initially picked up my car, its been a while since I don't see any

Congrats on the car, nice options

Sorry but I don't think so, I believe Euro lights are illegal here in the states and the dealership won't do it. You can always go to ebay or some other store and buy them (Quite expensive upgrade, at least that is my opinion)

That's normal and Ok, as long as there is no water in there.

If you have the bi-xenons DO NOT leave them switched on to dry out your lenses if you have the engine switched off. These lights take one heck of a lot of power to run and will drain your battery completely flat in less than 10 minutes.

First congrats with your new car! Got mine (2nd) 530i also last Tuesday and had the samething. When i picked up the car i did a general check and headlights were okay. Same evening at home i realized there was moisture in both headlights so was ready to drive to the dealer next morning but at that time the moisture was gone. Anyway still called the dealer and they explained the car stood inside and because of temperature differences with outside you can get the moisture. It will go away after 24/36 hrs and it did.
