Hi All,
I have staggered wheels and will soon be in the market for rear tires. Is it a bad idea to mix brands?
Thanks,

Will you be mixing budget, mid range or premium brands on the different axles? EG, If you have premium brand tyres on the front, I would not put budget or mid range on the back, etc.

They are Goodyear Eagles F1 all seasons. Got them with the car. Not even sure how they rate.
Planning on getting mid range as I do not drive the car very hard around corners. Got a supersport bike for that.

Now if you want to appreciate real acceleration you can't beat that. Veyron acceleration right there!

Mixing brands front to back is ok like others have said, just dont mix on same axle. With staggered, front to rear are different anyway and you cant rotate front to back. Unless you are on a track, dont worry about it.

I wouldn't mix all seasons with either summer or winter tyres though.
make sure you have the same rating on all 4.

The difference might show up when you least expect it ... like on a wet slippery road and an emergent maneuver. You ride a performance 2 wheel rider so you know what balance front to rear is all about! On a car however, my preference is to match tire, brand, style, model number across all four tires.
But that's just me; If you're a very conservative driver of your e60 I suppose under most ordinary circumstances you probably won't know the difference.
