In April 2006 I fell and dislocated my shoulder. I went through rehab and thought all was well until I dislocated my shoulder again in the drive-thru line at Chic-fil-a, trying to put a drink carrier with 3 drinks in the back seat 3/30/07 Ouch...
I had my shoulder fixed 5/1....the problem is, it's my right shoulder and my 30, like all proper Bimmers, has a manual tranny....
so she's sitting in my driveway while I drive my 99 Expedition to work...
I'm just soooo bummed right now....
I tried shifting the other day-arm still won't let me shift into 5th or 6th without lots of pain...
Anybody in Houston with a spare to share (Bimmer, that is)?

If only the stupid sports trannys were available on the 07s! I would have loved them and you would still be in business-now next time you choose manual over auto-remember this' jk=hope ya feel better-I totally understand. My 530 was gone for 3 days while some mods were being done and I literally was depressed not driving it-totally addicting!

I feel your pain. I'm a veteran of 4 left shoulder surgeries since 2001.

If you are not currently in the care of a good Orthopedic Specialist, I would strongly suggest that you do so. Good luck with the shoulder.

I took my girl out tonight...made it about 2 miles before I had to start shifting left handed....

Clutch=true manual for me...no SMG or steptronic here

She smells really new inside now that I'm not smelling that new Bimmer smell daily like I was. Of course, my truck has 142K on it and has been peed on and puked in many a time, so it's not a fair comparison....
I got operated on by an orthopod recommended to me by other orthopods-job perk, I heard all the inside scoop about who really knows what they're doing....

Every surgeon is different. Their skill, technique, and philosophy is individual. Selecting the right one is key to your longterm function and comfort.
