I've noticed this since I got the car, but haven't really made anything of it until now...
Every time I approach the car from the rear, I notice it, and I can't tell if it is because the outboard pipe gets the majority of the soot or if I'm just crazy...
Does the outboard, (left) pipe look lower? And if so, what can "I" do about it short of going to a body shop or the dealer to realign?
Thanks!

I have the same issue with my pipes. In my case it was more severe cause who ever had my car before (I am told it was a BMW UK car), had backed up and hit the pipes on something. This in turn pushed the whole system back towards the engine. They have pulled it all back and aligned the whole system BUT my pipes looks just like yours. I feel in my case it was the point of impact which has probably bent the rightside pipe upwards by a milimeter or two.
I have no idea how to sort it although I am going to point this out to the dealer this wednesday. See if they can adjust this part and make both on the same level.
cheers

How old is the car? You might consider replacing the rubber hanger, just above the left pipe. That might lift that side a bit higher. It's really not that noticeable tho.
Car is 7 months old to the day. (Delivery Date)
Can't imagine that it could be the hanger gone bad.
I can imagine, however, that it may have been "bumped" while the rear M-Tech bumper was installed at port.
What about using a floor jack and a wrapped piece of wood or something to gently push up on it?
Bad idea? Risk creasing or bending something I shouldn't?

lol i used to think the same thing, used to drive me crazy i even started a topic on it a few weeks back lol. it may be a little off, but it is exaggerated by the shape of the cut out, the right side curve above the tailpipe is lower than the left and curves down more aggresively so it makes it look as if there is a bigger gap between the left side and the bumper and the right side and bumper, so the left pipe looks lower, it annoyed me aswel, but youve gotta remember no1 looks at your car as much as you lol you are your worst critic.

I would want it to be perfect. Afterall this is the ultimate driving machine. I would never be able to sleep without trying to get it straight.
