So My sister had parked her X3 in the underground parking at the mall and this is what she saw when she had to leave

I am not going to rant but will ask:

1-What exact parts do I need to get so I can order them from the $tealer.
2-What about wires? How to know what to get?

I'll leave you with these images:
Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Was this in MTL?

Visit the RealOEM site (realOEM.com), it lists drawings and descriptions of everything on a series/body/model-defined basis. This, falling under section 51("Vehicle Trim").07 ("Outside Mirror").

Hopefully you'll be able to find exactly what's missing.

http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E8...utside_mirror/

check #7 ,, but you can verify first with the VIN number to tell the exact part number for the repair kit ,, plus you will need the mirror glass

http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E8.../mirror_glass/

hope this will help ..

Thanks for the help

Going to Buy the parts from saudi BMW Dealer and have them shipped to Lebanon to have them installed.

This is a Huge hassle since I am not in Lebanon to check things out myself and handle the whole situation

Another question:

The car has Memory seats, so the mirrors are adjusted according to each memory.

Will the car require any kind of programing since New cables/wires will be installed?

Dang! That stinks... sorry to hear that, buddy.

However, I think you should really post some MORE pictures. Just 9 pics don't do this drama sufficient justice...

Anyways, I'm sure the $tealership -no matter where they are located- knows exactly what to replace.
At least, the thief knew what he/she was doing; looks almost surgical to me how the mirror part was taken off. Good for her that the mirror wasn't simply ripped off together with the housing, which certainly would have increased the damage to the car...

Good luck getting it fixed.
I'm not a repair Pro, but it doesn't look like getting the missing parts replaced is going to be a big deal...

P.S.: May also want to check on eBay; wouldn't surprise me if someone is offering that EXACT same part for sale...

I posted all these pics to point out every single detail in order to get the specific details on what parts to get and if the cables are still usable or to be replaced.

I'm getting the parts from Saudi for the sole reason of NO TAX in Saudi Arabia(so cheaper parts). Parts will be installed in Lebanon where the car is located.

Ehssan and Ron pointed me to the exact parts, so that's where I will begin.

I'm still worried about programing. Any help guys? Do you think the car needs reprogramming if cables are to be replaced?

I don't think there is programing required ,, maybe like calibration ( move the mirror to each direction to the maximum to learn the motor for the maximum points .. )

Didn`t read all posts but i would go to dealer just to be sure about all the parts, and let insurance company pay for that any way...

Already called Insurance, it doesn't cover Theft (Except if entire car has been stolen )

So money will be from our pockets

So here are the mirrors from Realoem.com.

Sister went to the company and they told her that she need a WHOLE new mirror for each side since the MOTOR was broken during the ripping off the glass
