MIRROR THIEF?!

A while back I had my side mirrors stolen around 156th and 35th ave in flushing, near the Ihops there. Well I decided to drop by that area again today to eat at ihop against the advice of my girlfriend who was with me. Luckily I missed the turn into Ihop and had to go around the block. Around 156th and 33rd Ave I noticed a 535xi with both side mirrors missing!! this dude was parked into his own driveway! I obviously decided to go to the Ihop in Long Island after a "I told you so" from my gf. SOOOOO WARNING IF YOU GUYS ARE AROUND THAT AREA SOMEONE IS JACKING 5 SERIES SIDE MIRRORS!! Don't our alarms go off?? I suspect it may be a dealership scam to get ppl to buy ~$600 mirrors!

Hope the owner of that 535xi isn't a member on this board...either feel sorry for him/her. Glad you didn't stop and park. Wonder where this guy is selling these mirrors?

wow. i'm in flushing quite often. we need a mod for "removable mirrors" just like back in the days everyone takes their headunit out and carry them.... I'll be the first to buy the mod of removable mirrors. who's making them now?
