Just purchased a 2005 e60 and had a question on the mirrors. When placing the car in reverse, the passenger side mirror tilts down but the driver side does not. Is this normal or is it selectable?

Thanks

Switch is on drivers side by the mirror adjustment. Switch on or off.

It is normal. Only the passenger side mirror is controllable and the position of the switch that selects the side mirrors for adjustment determines whether or not it goes down when shifting into reverse.

You are correct, driver side mirror does not tilt automatically, only the passenger side. As Sol mentioned, use the selector switch below the mirror adjustment buttons to turn this feature on/off.
