Is this mechatronic unit bad? (pic)
 

I'm replacing the sleeve, seals, and solenoids, and when playing around with the mechatronic unit, I noticed there are 5 spring loaded pistons, one of them is where I'm touching my finger. The springs on some of the pistons work, meaning I can push it in with my finger and it springs back. One is firm, pushes in with some tension and comes back right away. One is very soft, while others others don't have any spring action to them, don't push in or out. Should I get a new mechatronic unit or are they supposed to be this way?
