Default Mechatronic rebuild

Hey everyone; 2008 535xi 102,000 miles. Tranny isn't shifting smooth. Upshift, & downshift. I can get the solenoids, & all seals for under 400 bucks @ fcpeuro . I'm in the Buffalo,NY area. Anyone know where I can get the service done & adaptations set after the service. I'm brave enough to do the service, but have no clue on downloading the adaptations. Thanks...Greg

At 102k you should only need a fluid changed and adaption reset. Are you having trans codes thrown. If not there's no need for the solenoid change

Did a fluid(zf6), & pan/filter change last spring. Thinking the progression should just be seals this time, which shouldn't require the adaptation download. However, just thinking "knock it out", while I got the mechatronic pulled out. So, do seals & should be good. Man I love this car!

Yes if you have no codes there's no need to do solenoids. I've been doing a fluid change every 50k since my VB was rebuilt (I had a lot of codes and trans going into limp mode). Resetting adaptions is easy through INPA. I always reset adaptions when I change the fluid.

Hey Sean; Thanks for the info. Where do you get INPA?

Here's a great resource: Genuine ZF Parts

They can rebuild your valve body and send back to you so no coding required.
