Hello Everyone.
I finally sold my car (current car that I had) and now I am making a final decision on purchasing this 2008 BMW 550i.

This is the Specs.

Price: $37,000

Color: Jet Black / Black Interior with Bamboo Anthracite Wood Trim

Mileage: 35,000 miles

Number of Owners: 2 (excluding me)

Clean Carfax, No issue with transmission, engine, electric etc, and well maintained: Only issue he said was battery drain about a year ago.

Options: M-Sports Package, Navigation Package, Cold weather Package, Head-up Display, Paddle Shifter (with Sport button), Comfort Access, Logic 7 Sound, iPod Integration.

Existing Factory Warranty: July 2012 / 50,000 miles
CPO warranty: July 2014 (This car already has this CPO) / 100,000

After Market Parts: Huper Optik window tint, RPI exhaust (Axle-back) and air scoop, 19' Forgestar F14 wheels, AC Schnitzer pedals and hand brake, Matt Black Grille.
No mods to Engine, ECU, Electricity. Just cosmetic mods.

What do you guys think? Is this the good price? I tried to bring down little more, but the seller is very firm with the price.

Also for GA law, I don't need to pay sales tax to this car, because we have yearly tax (birthday tax), so no matter how many times I change car (private party only), I need to pay similar amount of tax every year.

Isn't it basically FULLY LOADED Vehicle that's pretty hard to find? especially in a color combo black on black, which I want?
I really want this car so bad, but I don't wanna overly pay for it.
Also how is RPI exhaust? Is it too loud?

Obviously, I have a bias with keeping the price high -- I've got a 535 xi with 37k. But, it does still run like a dream. So the price is ballpark, but the seller should come down a bit. As to the battery drain, I had a few visits to dealer, and they even tried to blame it on my driving habits and eventually they replaced the alternator -- under warranty.

Yeah I agree, I look at Autotrader for 550i all over the US and $37,000 seems pretty low compare to so many other cars out there in the market. Especially with no Tax, OTD of $37,000 seems reasonable.

One sold on here for under 30k the other day. Had 20k more miles but with an extended warranty and cooled seats to boot Look in the for sale section on this site and you might see other ones for sale and the prices. Do a search . Deals are out there.

I think it's a decent price. How much threads do they have on the tires?

Yes - RPI exhuast is awesome. Should sound great on the V8 engine.

One must never get fooled by the after market mods on the car when purchasing. Concentrate on the factory options and packages installed and compare it with cars.com or auto trader prices and that Will give you a good base line on the price!

To me price is just about right but there is always more room to squeeze more
