First thanks to everyone on this board. I've found the info helpfull and the input great.

I just checked the WW site and found my car was loaded on the vessel 10/29. The port of destination is NY. So how do I find out when the ship sets sail, it's status and ETA?

Hopefully soon, I'll be sharing with you how much fun the car is, instead of wondering where the car is.

BTW, I've held off buying the Motorola V710 through Verizon until I hear through this board that it works with BT in the car. I did ask the dealer to install Sat radio. Is there any problems with it working with the NAV system?

Hi! I took mine in a two weeks ago for the SAT installation, but even though I do have the SAT prep package, they said it wasn't available at that time. If you do get it installed, please let us know.

according to the WW site it's the Resolve EA443-RES. Thanks

BTW, once it get's to port how long does it take to get to the dealer? NY is about 4-5 hour drive from my dealer.

SDPIKE

This is what I can tell you about the vessel and its schedule.
We call Southampton UK on
11-02-2004 16:00 - Discharge
11-02-2004 22:00 - Load

Then we pull in to Port NY on

11-10-2004 05:00 - NEAT (Port Jersey), Discharge
11-11-2004 17:00 FAPS (Newark) Load

The car will most likely unload at NEAT (North East Auto Terminal) since that is close to the VPC in Jersey City. Once the car gets to the VPC I can't say how long before they transport to dealer. Then it is in BMWNA hands..

These dates are no exact due to weather and other issues that could effect a vessel pulling in to port.

I have the V710, (but not the car yet!) but I have read on another board about someone who has/tried this phone and the set up from Verizion currently does not allow this phone to work with the E60/E63. They are supposed to update the BT software in the future, but currently it does not work

thanks...and also, as I had heard a rumor so I called to confirm, Motorola has held back the sale of this phone now due to the problem with BT not communicating correctly

sdpike, others have had the Sat done at their dealer with NAV on their 2005 cars. Check this earlier thread...
