Soon i'll pay a visit to the dealer to pick up the M rear spoiler. And with that i want to buy a so called touch-up kit for covering chipd dents or scratched that can't be removed by using abrazive polish. I didn't know BMW offers such a kit. IF it does then it should be a part number for it right? From other forum members i understood the kit contains a few items (the specific colour for the car, a brush and some other stuff)
If it doesn't exist i guess i'll have to ask them for a little bottle of carbon black paint. And then cover those surfaces using the toothpick method.

Anyone know anything about that kit?

Many thanks in advance.

At least you can buy a small paint bottle for small dents.

I need to go to my local BMW painter specialist because I found
a deep but small scratch behind the rear door handle!
It is probably caused by someone not something

But I'm sure your dealer can help you with this.

BMW sell touch up paint kits. It contains a small bottle of the colored paint, and also on with clearcoat, both bottles have a small brush attached to the bottle cap. I never use the brush--toothpick works better, and I nver bother with clear.

I'm sure there is a part number, but my car is silver gray so that wouldn't do you any good!

I just ordered and picked up by paint repair kit last week....
as others said it is two little bottles of paint and clear coat with brushes...
the dealer wanted to know my VIN number so he could order the right color kit for me..... next day delivery from Munchen....

don't worry you don't need a part number, there is only one such a think at BMW..... it only differes in colors.....

The P/N depends on the VIN number of your car (so they can know exactly your colour) Here I send u a couple of them, all starts with 519103xxxxx
Price in Spain around 8 ?.
If you know a little Spanish, in our forum www.bmwfaq.com there is a BMW official dealer that gives U prices, avaliability, P/N, etc.
Just open a post with your VIN number.

Here are the examples

El color es el 300, Alpinweiss 3:

51910301918......juego l?piz de retoque bicapa.........8.17,-- -17% +IVA
51910391368...lapiz retoque A18.....................8,17,-- -17% +iva

Or if you prefer:
Go here
http://www.bmwfaq.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11

Press on the silver butom "A?ADIR TEMA" (add thread)

Copy paste this on Subject:
------
Lapiz de retoque
------
Copy paste this on msg content (ADD your VIN number on "Num Bastidor XXXXXXXXXX"
--------
Buenos d?as
Necesito precio y referencia del lapiz de retoque para mi BMW con Num de Bastidor XXXXXXXXXX.
Muchas gracias.Saludos
---------

In less than 3 hors if the dealer is opened -or around 12 if it is closed- you will get price and P/N.

Best regards from Spain

Thank you very much. The thing is that i already talked to the dealer and he knows what i'm talking about. He needs although the colour code for my ride. I was in a hurry and couldn't stay too much too look for it. I know it's somewhere under the bonnet but it seems i can't spot it.
Can anyone point me to where i can find the colour code for my car?A pic maybe?
I'm going tomorrow to place the order so any help is much appreciated.

Thank you alot! All of you.
