No problems in the first 12000 miles... I'm going in for first dealer visit next week. The only issues I have are a few design errors such as the steering wheel blocks most of my dash view and stuff flys out of the cubby whole under the cd player under hard acceleration. I did have one time when the radio refused to output any sound but it fixed it self the next time I started the car...but was that ever a quiet ride home!

I've had my car for 20 months and nothing major so far. Actually it has been quite reliable. I've had several minor annoyances though - active steering fault, squeeky brakes, cd static, etc)

No major faults. The transmission still intermittently shifts with a bit of a lurch as I come to a stop. It is not the "transmission slam". It is noticeable and a bit annoying, but not fatal. Otherwise, the car is a delight to drive every time I get in it.

Nothing "major" but far too many problems.
  • At 3 days old, the car totally refused to start for over 30 minutes. Fixed with s/w update.
  • Transmission slam - again fixed with s/w update.
  • Faulty battery drained overnight - not normally a big deal but it made me miss a meeting with a client. Diagnosed as faulty and replaced, but took 3 days for the dealer to diagnose.....
  • Numerous what turned out to be "bogus" warnings - stop car due to engine failure, transmission failure, emissions warnings. None of these have ever been stored in memory - dealer says no faults are ever recorded, says they often see this. At the time they appear, you do think you have a major issue.
  • Sunroof got caught, track replaced.
  • Rough idle, s/w updates and eventually valve adjustment. Was a PUMA case at one point.
  • persistent rattles, door seals etc.
  • perhaps the most annoying of all, a truly horrendous noise from the rear parcel shelf. Drive over anything other than billiard table smooth blacktop and it sounds like the rear window is about to fall off.
  • Wood trim on the dash cracked on a hot day
  • Couple of others, radio crackled on FM, airbag warning, active steering warning.
Love the car, but that list is way too long, and I've spent far too long at the dealer.

Edited - forgot to add the intermittent musty smell from the aircon.

I had a coolant hose self destruct and empty the contents of the cooling system on the roadway. This was a first for my dealership, and in fact a hose was not available and had to be special ordered from overseas to replace. Car was down for about a week and a half. Only had 10k miles on it. No explanation as to why the hose failed.
