Ok, this will be a slow process getting all these components painted. I painted the two rocker covers this morning, maybe the rear diffuser tomorrow and then the bumpers Sat and Sun. Then the following weekend will be the install... Hmm, I think this shouldl be lots of fun!M5Tech Rocker Panel-rkr1.jpgM5Tech Rocker Panel-rkr2.jpgM5Tech Rocker Panel-rkr3.jpg

I have a lot of equipment... Actually used a develbis (sp) graviy feed gun i bought about five years ago. kinda learned this many many years ago and tried to learn all about it I could. and it kinda became a hobby of mine. Was thinking about spraying them inside the garage but then I would have had to cover everyng up from the overspray... today was very nice so it worked out better being outside. Beside used a high speed clear so it sets prety fast.

I used Limco base and clear. They mixed it to order at the paint store and it's all done by weight per the formula. I've had pretty good results in the past with matching with other cars and I used the same paint for my rear spoiler and it looks good. If the rocker are off in color a little it shouldn't be too noticeable because of their position. The bumpers are a different story... I won't know until I have them mounted on the car. I'll take photos of the end result after installed as well. Our bumpers were painted from the supplier of BMW with solvent base paint at their facility and the car is painted at the factory with waterborne paint with a urethane clear topcoat. Most auto makers do this. A good example of a non match you can see on the previous Acura TL's, the white metallic ones. Even my wife notice this miss match and didn't want to buy the car, Or at least that?s what she said... hmmmm
