M57N2 diesel engine?

My Ride: 2006 530 d M-sport e60
My previous 530D had the M57N diesel engine and it`s appears from a VIN search my new one has the M57N2,
any body know if this means it will have the 245hp 3ltr engine instead of the 218hp?, the car was built OCT. 2006.

My Ride: 2006 530 d M-sport e60
In the uk the 3ltr diesel engine started in 2003 with 218hp then around 2007 they changed it to 245hp, I want to know when it was introduced.

My Ride: 07 E61 530d M-Sport.
Thats not right the 218 started off, then in 2006 when the start button was introduced power was upped to 231bhp. Finally in 2007 when the LCI was released power was upped to 235bhp. The E60/61 never got the 245bhp motor that went straight into the 3 series.

If yours is the LCI model with start button, your car will be the higher output. If it's only the starter button and NOT LCI, then it will have the mid. HTH bud
