M5 rims - rubbing?

I'm looking to purchasing M5 rims

19x8.5(255/40ZR19) and the back is 19x9.5(285/35ZR19). The bolt pattern is 5x120

I have a 2006 525i, will there be any rubbing?

Any info will be much appreciated!!!!!!

welcome. geneatals above included helpful sources. short version, oem 166 wheels will fit fine. you always have the option of adding spacers in the rear if the offset is ET 28 instead of ET 17. and recommended tire sizes are 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear. good luck and enjoy the forums.

why would the offsets be different? ET 28 vs. ET 17..,

they make 166 wheels for the M6 with the rear offset of ET17. rear offset of ET28 is made for the M5.

don't think i've seen an m6 with 166's...no need to post pics, i can google/search for myself....

What he said!! You can run 285/30/19 if you can afford them but you must stick to ET28 rears.

I JUST ordered the m166's (ET 17) about 5mins. before reading this post with the assumption that with a 275/30/19 mounted, there should be no rubbing or other fitment issues, please tell me I'm right

I have #166s, and I have always wanted to know whether the 40/35 set up will rub compared to the 35/30 setup.

In my case, I have a nonsport setup, but I lowered the car with H&R springs.
I think that 40/35 looks nicer.
