I agree, the extra cooling will not avoid cooked brakes.
After doing the Ring last year, my brakes were not happy after two hard laps... hence I bought a full set of M5 brakes which I will be fitting soon for my annual trip to the Ring/Germany in May'ish time. There are a set of front M5 calipers on Ebay right now for ?150 - if you're handy it's a plug and play replacement (or so I have been told - well I hope so as I have 4 corners to do).
I am also going to use DOT5 brake fluid as apparently it won't boil like the standard stuff.
