I believe you will need the caliper if you want to use the rotors and pads.

no caliper
Besides, the true performance upgrade would lie in the calipers, agree? |

Assuming you could use the M5 rotors and pads, why not just go aftermarket - it would cost less.

is the brake pad the same for M5 and 545?
No, it's not, the calipers are larger on the M5 so the pads are larger as well. The pads on you 545 are larger than a 530 or 525 but not as large as the M5's. To use the M5's pads you will need the M5 calipers and rotors as well (the rotors are also larger than your 545) |
+1 for going aftermarket with different style rotors and pads or BBK. most of those who have gone with M5 brakes were able to get it from an M5 who upgraded their brakes.

can i change the rotor and keep my calipers and pads?
Sure, you can get Drilled and/or slotted rotors - just contact Trinity Autosport (Nerweezy above) and they can hook you up. |
