Hi,

I just got my 166+UHP mounted shipped to me.

Can I just install myself ? (haven't replaced wheels in long time lol)

or I am better off taking to a Tireshop?

For now I want to install wheels w/o spacers, to see how the look is, 95% might end up with 20mm spacers for sure. Eventually might think about Sport Springs to lower car.

Thanks

If you are a bit unsure let the tyre shop do it.

No spacers for the 166's are needed!

245 front and 275/285 rear tyres.

Use a good local shop. BMW charge a small fortune. I Have 20 inch summers on my X5 and a pair of mounted Scorpians for winter. The shop I use is cheap and fast and clean and bag the wheels each time I change them.

Cheers

I do it myself when the tires are already mounted and balanced on the wheels. Installers will invariably scratch or nick at least one of your wheels, if not all of them. At least, that has been my experience.

Get your ass off the couch and put those boxes in your car. Take them to a shop and have them mount them. And whatever you do, don't let them use a drill. Have them use a proper torque wrench.

I change my own winter/summer setups on both my cars. It takes about 45 min. In roundel magazine a few issues again they have an entire write up on the proper way to swap/install you tires. I know when I change mine, I get out the wire brush and remove all the rust from the hubs and apply anti-seize to the bolts and hubs before I put the rims on. This step will be critical when you have a flat tire at 2:00am and you need to put that spare on. BMW's come w/ the proper tools. If you have ever had BMW roadside assistance, the tech will actually use your tool set to change the tire and does not use any of their tools.

FINALLY!! The most awaited MOD of all time since I bought in DEC '06 (offcourse Mkit is #2 coming next)

No Sports suspension, No Spacers (I was thinking about 20mm like monacobmw, but, Dont see a need for even 12mm)
