My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

When I'm looking at my car, the M172 wheels seen to be inside the front fenders just narrowly.

Considering that the M166/167 wheel is made for the M models with wider fenders it just might be
that the M166/167 wheels are not legal in the EU where the tire has be to inside the fender.

M172 Front 8.5 x 19? ET 18
M166 Front 8.5 x 19? ET 12 (extended 6 mm compared to M172!)

M172 Rear 9.5 x 19? ET 32
M166 Rear 9.5 x 19? ET 28 (extended only 4 mm compared to M172)

There seems not to be any such problems rear.
Actually I think, that the rear wheels (M172) are too inside the rear fenders.

Pics of cars (non M's) with M166/167's would be appreciated,
from a angle that shows the possible front wheel problem.

They are not made for our car but they fit perfectly. In fact, you can even fit the m5 wheels with the m6 specs which have the following spec:

M166 Front 8.5 x 19? ET 12
M166 Rear 9.5 x 19? ET 17

You can see pics of my old car with these wheels on www.syed.at/e60

The offsets are aggressive BUT it looks nice - i love them. I have had these wheels on all my 3 cars...

greetings

Check out this pic of mine from my gallery, as you can see the front wheel is just barely inside the fender. It doesnt stick out at all, so as long as you can be flush or less to the fender you should be fine, no?
