that's why we don't see eye to eye on this. i look at an M as the top shelf of any series, not cuz' of the body stylings or simply the "look"....it's all about what's under the hood my friend. go ahead and get your M steering wheel, pedals, M5 kit and even the badge....it's still NOT an M!
why spend the extra money for an M or AMG you ask!!? cuz they can!

I guess after four pages of it, I really don't care. Everyone is entitled to do whatever they want. But man, do I secretly wish for someone to question the M badge with a question as simple as "How much did you pay for that thing?" And when the bastard says, "Oh about 60 grand" it'll all unfurl from there.

Would it be wrong if I badged my car with a 528? I wonder what kind of crap I would get at car meets with people I don't know.

We have a right to know which car we're up against on the high way so we don't mistake a 550 for a 520 so no debadging for me

I say that adding the M5 M-tECH kit or adding quad exhaust,M5 fenders, etc, is no diff than adding the badge. We are all wannabes, so I say if u want to add the badge why not.

dude the quad exhaust, bumpers etc actually improve the look unlike the badge

I say if u put the m-tech kit on quad exh, m5 fenders, etc. what's the diff in putting the badge on? If you want it to look like a M5 why not go all the way. Just my opinion.

Most M modifications provide a better looking car. The M badge doesn't.
