Just need a bit of advice / opinion. Am thinking of removing the 520d boot badge of my M Sport and replacing it with an ///M badge, what do you guys think?

Thanks in advance

Given that you have a single oval exhaust terminal that tells anyone who knows anything about E60 that it's a 520d, I don't see the point of either debadging or replacing with an ///M badge.

To be honest, even if you had a 550, I still would not see the point of either, but...

The "M" is for the M-series - ONLY.

Just remove the 520d sign.

Otherwise you might get laughed at wannabes you know...

If you want symmetry for artistic or balance reasons put d025 on the other side.

What's the point of being ashamed of your e60's core model attributes?

As for "M"-ing it. Why?

Perhaps he wants to add the ///M to show people that he has the M-tech aero kit installed,,, I don't see any harm on it.

it would be cheap/wannabe and cheesy if he would be adding ///M5
just my two cents

Just the ///M badge seems okay if you have an M-sport car...it doesnt make me think "poser" unless its followed with the "5" nomenclature.

It's more than the aero kit here in EU BUT the panels are pretty visible.

There are those who wear their designer labels on the outside of their suit jacket sleeves. Worse - they put their own on.

I wonder how many 550i and M5 owners go for the "clean look"?

IMHO debadging makes a car look like an unfinished body shop visit.
