My Ride: 2008 BMW 535i; Deep Sea Blue with Light Gray Leather Interior. Sports, Premium & Cold Weather Packages. Steptronic Auto, IPOD & USB Adapter, Park Distance Control & Rear Sunshades.
Just bought a CPO 2008 535i w/10.6k miles yesterday (BMW Employee Car that was untitled). Deep Sea Blue, Light Gray Interior. Sports, Premium and Cold Weather Packages. IPod Adapter, Steptronic, Park Distance & Rear Sunshades. In-service date of 1-16-08 which means I have 3 years of free maintenance and an additional 2 years or up to $100k miles of warranty left. Negotitated price down to $45k and the best part is the BMW financing at .9% for the whole amount + sales tax + all fees. What a deal (not a penny out of pocket so far)!
I luv driving this car! It has such a powerful and smooth engine. The sports package and seats have overcome my concerns about moving up from the sportier, nimbler 3-series. Plus the bigger car absorbs NJ potholes a lot better. I-Drive was easy to learn despite all the negative press (although a bit distracting while driving). Agonized over not having the Logic 7 stereo but decided that I could live without it as the alternative was a new one costing $16k more. Besides my hearing ain't what it used to be after nearly 40 years of listening to The Who, Stones and Zeppelin. And it still has that new car smell too!
Feels damn good to be able to afford such a nice car in a down economy after all the years of saving and having no debt but the mortgage. Like they say, every dog has his day
