Low oil pressure light, engine stopped

Hello,
So last week my teenage son was driving my 06 530i. The low oil pressure light and I drive warning came. The first place to place pull over was in about a mile so he keeped driving. Well before he got there the engine stopped.
Got the car home and changed the oil filter and added some oil. Filter was very stopped up.

Anyway the car starts and runs. With no codes or lights. But it idles very rough and makes a screaching noise when you rev it up.
I am assuming the motor is shot and am looking to replace it. But thought I would ask if there where any other ideas to check before I carry on.
Thanks

Have you had anyone look at it to confirm your diagnosis?

Got codes

I ran the engine a few minutes today and the SES light came on.
Downloaded code P0300,P0301 and P0302. Misfiring cylinders on 1 and 2.
Not sure how low oil pressure could cause this except maybe a broke cam.

I can't say I have ever been able to describe an oil filter as " very stopped up".

For an 06 you may have a few unrelated things going on but I think the oil filter issue needs to be figured out. Was it debris?, what was the oil change interval miles?, etc.

You need to figure out where the screech sound is coming from as a priority I think
