Love My Active Cruise!
#1
I've owned my '06 E61 for about 12,000 miles and the feature I love the best is the active cruise control.
This single feature may, in fact, be what drives me to return to another "5".
It is of course, useful in normal highway driving, but it is most useful in the rain, at night and whenever there is limited visibility. I really like the fact the car can "see" that the driver in front of me is slowing, sometimes before I can. It's a great safety factor.
It's smart enough to ignore cars that cut across my path if they are accelerating relative to my car.
In addition, it's a radar technology so unlike the Lexus technology, it works great in the rain.
I bought my 61 because it has Comfort Seats. And yes, the seats are amazing as is the Head up display but the Active Cruise is the most useful piece of technology I?ve experienced in a very long time.
Thanks BMW engineers.

You think you like ACC on your car...wait until you try the one that includes the stop and go feature!
In traffic, I use it all the time and it's great!
