Hello !
I?m new around.. I still haven?t got one 5 series because I?m still waiting for the Touring ... Sorry to dig up this old topic, but, how do I get my back seat cup holders to have that sliding top, like in the 545i from the pics ?? The 530d I saw in BMW here in Portugal hasn?t got them.. but it looks really great..

I believe that sliding top on the back of the headrest of the center rear seat is available when you order to comfort seats.

Humm.. About the confort seats. .Jmcaiado, since you?re also in Portugal, you could answer me some questions about the car In the comfort seats, which cost about 3000 ?, is the nasca leather included in the price ? and, are those Comfort seats headreasts really good, I mean, do they really improve the car?s comfort ? I can?t wait to get the E61 (actually, my dad is going to get it, since I?m still 16, but I love cars, and I choose the car, so )

Hope it is as good as everyone claims.. been in one in the BMW dealer and it fealt fantastic.. liked the way the backseats looked also, because, when you open the door, the available space seems short.. but as soon as you enter.. it?s fantastic..

Thanks

Hi,
You can have the comfort seats without Nasca leather.
The Nasca perforated leather is mandatory if you order the ventilated seats function (the air flows through the holes).
Whatever seat you chose you have t pay for the leather type.
The headrests in the confort seats are active, that means that if you got a colision from behind the headrests are automaticaly pulled out by a small explosive charge to protect your neck.
The seats are expensive because they are the best available.

Cheers

I thought I read in the catalogue that it had to have either Nasca or exclusive leather.. if it can come with dakota (I really like Dakota leather, it?s the cheapest, and the most good looking.. nasca is also good, but the exclusive it?s the ugliest leather I?ve ever seen..).. I knew the active headrests feature, but, I?m asking about the seats overall comfort.. and do they bring the massage option ? Sorry to be asking so much, but dealers are a confusion with questions so I rather ask them here and when we go to the dealer, I?ll know everything about the car I (my dad) want..

Thanks

Yes the nasca/exclusive leather thing is mentioned in the EU brochure. It also happens to be one of the many things in the brochure that is (now) incorrect. You can defintely combine comfort seats with Dakota.

Massage is an option (active seats)
