Somebody should tell BMW that other cars go through and survive the same potholes that their cars go through.

With RFT's its hard on the 19's in wheels. The RFT's are brutal even in their 18" form. Combined with being low profile and being RFT's I can see why the bends but not the cracks. Cracked in 7 places seems like maufacturing defects more so than a pothole problem.

This is no surprise. RFTs are not ready for prime time. Their sidewalls are brutally stiff which transmits the impact force to the wheel. The idea behind RFTs is sound but their execution has been less than ideal.

Interesting point,I wonder if that is why 19" 172M's are fitted with non-RFT's by BMW?

BMW switched from RFTs to non-RFTS on the 550i Sport when it went from the pre LCI model (RFTS on Style 124 wheels) to the LCI model (non RFTS on Style 172 whees.

That speaks volumes about what BMW really thought about the RFTs.
