+1 good luck and i hope they would take care of it
+1 You should ask for the service manager and show them the pictures and ask for goodwill warranty, especially if you have been using them for all your maintenance and service needs.

GL and I hope everything gets resolved under either goodwill or CPO. Please post back and let us know the outcome.

THATS SUCKS...i just went over 50k my self... im very worryed this is going to happen to me.. knowing that i have smg... i know after 50k these cars for some resone prob`s start to come up.... its like the car knows when your warrinty ends....
That's why, imho, everyone should get an aftermarket extended warranty or set up a repair fund!! Warranties run from $2-3k but imagine if something happens out of warranty...tranny, idrive, a/c just to name a few means big $$. EIther get a warranty or put money aside on a monthly basis for the repair fund. My pdc just went out and it was gonna cost $500 to fix. Thankfully, i'm still under the 4/50 warranty, but I've already purchased an extended warranty.

Bring it in to the dealer, be diplomatic and I would bet they will take care of it since you are so darn close to 50K.
+1

That's exactly right. We drive expensive cars that are expensive to maintain and repair. Unless you are a trust fund baby, you really should have a line on your monthly budget for car repairs. I suggest $300 to $400 a month just for that. It has worked for me for the past 11 years.

I had some similar problems. Not the same but mine were worse. I had Active steering, Dynamic Drive, my screen would black out, car would sputter and die. Start it back up it's normal. But only after it sputters and dies. First I replaced the battery and was fine for a couple of months. It happened again so I brought it to the dealer and they did the software update. Still did the same, brung it back and they found out it was the alternator.

Update:

I turned her in to the dealer today and of course she was performed perfectly. Luckily I had prints of the pics I took. I received a call from the service adviser later in the afternoon and he said that they are keeping her over night because they are waiting for parts to arrive. He also said that they would cover it.

I asked him what parts or system failed he said he did not know as the technician forgot to leave notes and he left for the day. Anyway hopefully I getter back tomorrow and get the details.
