Default Logic7 radio software question.

I'm fairly new to the car and I'm also fairly happy with the audio from the Logic7 system. However, I work in the broadcast industry and there are a couple of things related to the tuner section that are driving me nuts! First is the stereo to mono threshold. If you happen to listen to a station that may NOT be 5 miles away, or run into a bit of multipath, the radio goes in and out of stereo much too easily. Also, the extreme 'high filter' kicks in way too early. In fact, I'd really prefer it not be there. I noticed on later radios, these issues are not as problematic. Is there such thing as a software update? Also, the speed/loudness thingy is NOT totally defeatable!! Aaarrrgh!! I'd much prefer there be no 'radio nanny' stuff to get in the way. Does anyone know if there's a fix/mod for these things?
Thanks!

i have no issues with my stereo. only thing i can mention, is that certain window tints can effect radio reception.

True. However, I'd say my antenna is working just fine. I also realize that I'm an atypical consumer and a 'tweak' who'd rather have no filtering or automatic anything. These tuners are designed for the everyman who just wants to hear the radio without multipath, drama or interference of any kind, Oh, and the audio quality on the AM side...don't get me started (lol)....it really doesn't have to sound that bad.
