if you really concerned about how your music sounds from outside then you can upgrade your system and do the isolation at some custom car audio place.
as for me i am ok with logic 7 it sounds great inside the car it's all i need. I used to have huge subs in the trunk (so the whole parking lot can hear what kind of music i listen to ) in previous cars but those days are gone..

My main concern is always INSIDE the car, I don't really care what people outside of my car hear or what they think of it either!

Sounds more like a pressure issue to me. Subwoofers create pressure inside the cabin. When the pressure varies greatly from the front of the woofer and the back of the woofer it creates extra work for the woofer. The effects are greater in a ported subwoofer (creates pressure behind the woofer) enclosure and increase the risk of letting the smoke out. Don't take my word on it as i'm just an amateur. But from my experience the bass always sounds better with the windows down.

I remember reading somewhere that the speakers are designed to vent to the outside and they are sposed to sound like that. Who the hell cares what it sounds like from outside? I remember that being an issue when I used to wash the car with the stereo on and had my SA look at it. That's how they were sposed to sound he told me..
I checked somewhere...think this forum....and that was really the case!
