logic 7 lci vs pre-lci

My Ride: 06' Black Saphire 530i, Premium Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg with heated rear seats, Power sunshade, Logic 7 w/CD Changer, PDC, Fold down rear seats
Mods* 19" Beyern Mesh wheels with Goodyear F1 pro A/S tires
I was looking into some details of the logic-7 system and I have come across conflicting docs where one says its a Harmon Kardon manufactured system and another that said its a Bang and Olafsun manufactured system.
Is the Harmon Kardon for the lci and up? I have also heard there is a marked difference in sound quality between lci and pre-lci systems. I was raised by musicians who relied on good audio for their livelyhood, as well as managed a high end home/car stereo shop (and before that was an installer) and I must say my 2006 (pre-lci) logic-7 sound system sounds GOOD. It has nice seperation, crisp mids/lows and excellent sibilance.

I and a few people made comparisons between a Pre-LCI and LCI Logic 7 system and everyone agreed that the Pre-LCI was better. There was no doubt. Put two cars side by side and using the same CD you can easily tell.
